PHOTOGRAPHY: San Francisco artist Todd Hido will announce the best in show winner tonight for his juried exhibiton, Intimacy and Voyeurism: The Public/Private Divide in Photography, featuring the work of members of the Society for Photographic Education, which explores photography’s ongoing tensions between public and private domain and how the lines between them are often blurred. MUSIC: Get out those umbrellas and ponchos and head to Union Square this evening for some free jazz performed by Big Daddy Dean, an "up-and-coming jazz performer of San Francisco-origin and Texan fame." (6 to 8 p.m., Union Square, Powell and Geary)
THEATER: Footloose and Shotwell Studios presents The Rita Hayworth of this Generation, a one-woman shows tells the story of Carmelita Cristina Rivera, a queer Latina performer whose passion, power and heartache drive her to gamble everything and move to Las Vegas.
