Al Pacino was in town last night to premiere his new Oscar Wilde documentary Wilde Salomé to a sold-out Castro Theatre audience. Naturally the relatively rare appearance of Hollywood royalty in our fair city deserves the sort of celeb-gazing usually reserved for SoCal tourists, so here's our local NBC affiliate trying to pin down the man and his gloriously disheveled hair:

Nearby, local blogger and SFist pal Violet Blue tried in vain to grab a drink with Mr. Scent of a Woman himself. (We don't imagine he's much of a tweeter.) No word yet on whether Mr. Pacino was spotted grabbing a drink at any neighborhood watering holes.
In all seriousness, Al Pacino is three blocks from my house right now. I would do almost anything to be able to buy him a drink.
