MUSIC: Seminal post-punk band, The Raincoats, who are considered the "godmothers of grunge" and an inspiration to a generation of riot grrrls, will take the stage tonight in celebration of over three decades of "doing things the way they think they should be done." (9 p.m., Great American Music Hall, 859 O'Farrell Street)
FILM/MUSIC: Master of the Uke, Jake Shimabukuro, will be performing live at tonight's screening of the new documentary about Jake, as part of the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. Reportedly, Jake's "technical virtuosity and broad musical palette - including jazz, rock, original Hawaiian standards, and innovative pop covers - have fundamentally redefined how the seemingly limited instrument is perceived by millions of people." (7:30 p.m., Castro Theater, 429 Castro Street)
COMEDY: In SuperHappyMelancholyexpialidocious, Seth Lepore "turns the happiness industry on its head to unearth the farcical ideology of the positive thinking movement." In this one-night only performance as part of The Marsh's Rising Series, Lepore turns his ironic wrath on everything "[f]rom Texas megachurches turned motivational hothouses, to the latest testament of selfactualization from Oprah's Book Club." (7:30 p.m., The Marsh SF, 1062 Valencia Street)
