Yesterday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot while getting off a 9-San Bruno bus. The shooter, a man in his early twenties, apparently boarded the Muni vehicle shortly before the incident and started arguing with the victim who had already been on the bus. When the victim stepped off the bus near Garrison Avenue in Visitacion Valley, the shooter opened fire from the back door, hitting the victim three or four times in the torso.

Police arrived to find the teen victim on the ground with life threatening injuries and had him rushed off to S.F. General for treatment. The suspect, meanwhile, was last scene escaping on foot down Garrison Avenue. According to police, the suspect is described as "a black man between 20 and 25 years old who is about 6 feet tall, has dark skin, short-cropped hair, and a small moustache. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt and saggy light blue jeans."

According to KTVU, Muni handed over their surveillance footage to SFPD and the gang task force is currently looking in to this one.

(We should also note here that the Examiner is claiming the 17-year-old victim was shot in the back seat of the bus, which doesn't appear to be the case from the police reports.)
