This morning's modest temblor likely woke a lot of you and your beloved dogs and cats up, and at least one local newspaperman would like to hear all about how your pets reacted.
The Contra Costa Times's pet columnist (yes, they have that) Gary Bogue may have been struggling for a topic this morning around 5:30 a.m. when the quake hit, and luckily Barbara from Martinez wrote in with a detailed account of two kitty cats named Giselle and Atticus and how they leapt through the air at the first shake and were later seen wandering the house "like a couple of battery-activated bobble heads, looking from side-to-side, and with tails in the air as if they are carrying white flags."
Fascinating, Barbara! Gary then proceeds to analyze the cats' reactions, sounding very authoritative, and calling them "pretty typical." Anyway, though we are totally making fun of the CC Times for publishing this crap, we are totally going to welcome you to share your pet-related earthquake tales below, from today's or any previous quake.
