A little before 7 p.m. on Monday, a man died after walking on the BART tracks at the MacArthur station. A Richmond-bound train plowed into the unidentified man, killing him instantly. According to Oakland Tribune, "He fell at the far end of the platform, and officials found no witnesses other than the train operator during the early hours of the investigation."
Police, however, do not suspect foul play.
BART service was affected systemwide until around 9 p.m.
