The media's love for New York Knicks star point guard (and Palo Alto native) Jeremy Lin is in high gear, and this week finds Lin popping up in all kinds of headlines. He's graced the cover of Sports Illustrated for two weeks running. Our Gothamist mothership used both the terms Linsztomania, StyLIN', and Lindorsements this week, and Lin himself just filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the term "Linsanity."
Also, the internet was abuzz with the rumor that Kim Kardashian had her sights set on dating the ever-so-Christian Lin, and several online gambling sites are taking bets on the matter at 5-to-1 odds. But Lin himself quashed the rumor saying, "I don't think I'm that type." And by that he probably means the type who would date a media whore.
Also, People just published a new piece about how Lin and Tim Tebow are now BFFs over their shared Christian faith. And yes, we said BFFs, even though Tebow might be in the market for a BF one of these days, but we digress.
