As SFist first reported, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will visit San Francisco today for a couple of fundraising events. The Obamas are expected to arrive at around 12:50 p.m. Here's where it gets tricky: They will first attend a fundraising event at the San Francisco Intercontinental Hotel (888 Howard) at 2 p.m., or so claims the official White House schedule. Later, according to news reports, "The president will attend a small fundraiser at the Mark Hopkins International Hotel before heading to a private dinner in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood. Both events cost more than $35,000 a ticket."

Anyway, if you plan on driving anywhere near SoMa, Nob Hill or Pacific Heights areas, don't. Traffic will be a nightmare.

Part of a three-city tour, Obama's San Francisco stop alone will earn him $3 million. According to the Federal Election Commission, the president has raised $13,736,477, with Mitt Romney and Ron Paul trailing behind with $6,611,590 and $1,540,195, respectively.

Update: The $100 ticket event will be at the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium, not the InterContinental. Ugh.
