A 19-year-old man sought by authorities in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old San Leandro girl on Friday night turned up dead the next day at the Port of Oakland. According to Bay City News, Oakland Police found the body of Henry Leon hanging from a structure in the Port around 4:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Leon, an Oakland resident, was in a relationship with the 15-year-old stabbing victim. The girl was found in San Leandro around 6:20 p.m. Friday suffering from multiple stab wounds to her torso. Emergency medics were unable to save the girl before she succumbed to her injuries. Police also explained that Leon was the father of the stabbing victim's 9-month-old baby.

Police were originally investigating the hanging incident as a homicide, but are now treating it as a suicide after identifying the body.
