Finding your resolutions slipping away? No worries, the LINES Dance Center folks will kick your lazy butt into gear with their All You Can Dance For $5 event on Saturday afternoon from 1 to 5 pm. Whether you're a beginner — their invite cleverly states, "Absolute Beginners are Especially Welcome" — or intermediate, lean toward the classical or modern, they have you covered.
The classes are each thirty minutes long and include genres such as flamenco, zumba, lyrical jazz, musical theater, belly dancing, hip hop, Gyrokinesis, Feldenkrais, modern, "Ballet with a Broadway Flare," and much more. Download a PDF of the schedule.
The event serves as a showcase of the fabulous LINES Dance Center (26 Seventh Street), which offers over 100 classes a week for adult dancers taught by professional teachers and choreographers.
