The Occupy Oakland kids may have been a little quiet lately, but they have a plan for Saturday that should shake things up and garner a few more headlines. There's going to be a noon rally and a 1 p.m. march to an undisclosed building, which they plan to occupy as their new headquarters and "social center." Organizer Leo Ritz-Barr, 21, says this "signal[s] a new direction for Occupy Oakland, putting vacant buildings to the service of the community, not the banks." The OPD will see about that!

Police say they're going to wait and see where this goes, and only intervene if protesters plan to enter a building without the owner's permission. But of course that's what they're going to do! At least we think so.

Let's just hope no one gets hurt.
