You there: what are you still doing at work? Why are you not out in Union Square wandering the streets with a seasonal coffee drink and a pint of peppermint schnapps? (It makes the rush of consumerism that much more bearable.) Are you just avoiding the inevitable drive home to the in-laws' house? Are you polishing off that bottle of whiskey you've been hiding in your desk drawer, at least?
Your intrepid editors — Well, we're still here because the Internet never sleeps. (At least not until a reasonable 10 p.m. bedtime.) But you — what's your excuse? You should probably tell your boss you have some last minute Christmas gifts to pick up and head to the bar instead. At the very least, you should be at mom's house sneaking a couple fingers worth of brandy in to a nice glass of egg nog by now.
So how are you killing time in these last two hours of half-assed workday? Explain yourselves in the comments, fellow Bob Cratchits. (And to those of you working retail tonight: we feel your pain. You're allowed an incognito tipple of the schnapps, yourself. Just try not to punch anyone in the face.)
