Judge Angela Bradstreet might have some fashionista sympathy for prolific cat burglar Pooja Gandhi (remember her?), because the judge has ordered that SFPD return to Gandhi all of the unclaimed stolen hats, shoes, purses and $4,000 raincoats that police confiscated from her Polk Street apartment in March of last year. Police found eight truckloads worth of goods in Gandhi's pad, including art with pricetags still attached, and a dirt bike, and the judge has declared any and all of it as "personal items." The SFPD, naturally, ran to ABC7 with the story, because they are pissed as hell.

Gandhi is now out of jail after getting credit for time served on a 15-month sentence, and she stands to profit from whatever stolen goods she'll now be keeping — though it would seem, given the volume of crap she had in her apartment at the time of her arrest, that she was more of a hoarder than a reseller of items, but we digress. Judge Bradstreet defends her order saying that she signed off only after the cops' legal officer and Gandhi's attorney agreed to the deal.

Victims of Gandhi's many thefts are encouraged once again to come forward and go through the police binders of stolen property photos to claim anything that might be theirs.
