Today in bizarre news: local blogger TK discovered the likeness of the late Liz Taylor on the back of an ordinary household cleaning sponge. TK's initial reaction was one of confusion, which you might expect from someone who just noticed they've been scrubbing their dishes with the visage of a recently deceased icon, but we are fairly certain that's an image of Ms. White Diamonds herself. We spoke with TK (via Twitter, because it's nearly 2012), to get more details on the ghostly appearance:
As TK explained, the sponge in question was found in a 3-pack of O-Cel-O sponges purchased at either the Castro Safeway in San Francisco (which would be telling) or the Target location in Serramonte (which, might be even more divine). The sponge was used in only a single dishwashing session. There are no current plans to auction off the sponge with it's powerful, haunting image.
Some brief research reveals the Liz-sponge may actually be a Project Runway tie-in. How disappointing.
