The San Francisco 49ers won the NFC West tile today, their first title win since 2002. What does this mean? It means San Francisco is heading to the playoffs! They claimed victory in a 26-0 win over the St. Louis Rams Sunday, a game also noteworthy for being the Niners' first shutout since 2009.

Impressive.

"Earlier in the game, the team saw another franchise-streak broken: after a 2-yard gain early in the second quarter, running back Frank Gore broke the franchise's record for career yards rushing," reports KTVU. "Gore's 2-yard bolt during the team's beatdown of the Rams gave him 7,345 career yards rushing, moving him past late Hall of Famer Joe Perry for most in franchise history. (Perry's career total was 7,344 yards.)"

We're not sure what any of that even means, but... exciting nonetheless! Daisy Barringer will give a full report on Monday on today's sigh-of-relief win. Until then, shout with glee and unbridled admiration for the Niners in the comments. Because remember: SF rules!
