A little after 6 p.m. on Monday night, eight people were shot in West Oakland, including a one-year-old baby. The shooting occurred on the 700 block of Willow Street when a group of men wearing hoodies appeared and shot at a group standing near a catering truck. Here's surveillance video of the shooting:

Two are in critical condition, including a one-year-old boy. Oakland Tribune reports, "The child, identified as Hiram Lawrence, was reported in critical condition Monday night after undergoing surgery at Children's Hospital Oakland for a bullet wound to the head."

Although police claim that East Bay rapper Kafani, who witnessed the multiple shooting, was there to shoot a music video, the artist claims that wasn't the case. Via furious Twitter messages, he writes, "I cant take this shit shootin fuckin babies" and "This shit on the fox news channel this is un real."

No arrests have been made. Police say three teens and a man in his 30s took off in a "dark-colored Buick," which "reportedly fled west on Seventh Street to the freeway after the shooting."

Information about the suspects whereabouts should be directed to the Oakland Police Department's major crimes unit at 510-238-3821.
