Attention Holiday shoppers and anyone looking to add a scenic cable car ride to their holiday weekend activities: the Hyde Street line is currently out of order until further notice due to an electrical problem.
The same problem also knocked out the California line cable car this morning, but that jaunty trip over Nob Hill is now back in service. Meanwhile, on the Hyde Line, decidedly less exciting shuttle buses are running to ferry passengers and tourists from Ghirardelli Square to Market Street and Union Square.
