Lauded French Laundry and Ad Hoc chef Thomas Keller recently revealed a new candy bar that, according to Inside Scoop, is only available in New York. For now, anyway. What's in it, you ask? It's topped with a "crunchy caramel ganache, covered with chewy peanut caramel and enrobed in dark chocolate."
Delicious sounding, yes? Problem is that it has yet to be christened. This is where you come in, people. Name Keller's new concoction (via Bouchon Bakery's Facebook page) and you'll score a month's worth of candy bars for free.
Some of the offerings, as expected, are revoltingly pretentious like "Soigné Bar," "(small type) ceci n'est pas un (large type) CANDY BAR," "Sucre," "AmouseNoir," and "Le bise."
Others, however, are dripping with clever whimsy. For example, "Oui Bit Nutty," "ad choc," and "The Serial Keller" are a few we enjoyed.
Our winning suggestion? Ladyparts.
Sebastien Rouxel, executive pastry chef for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, will select Ladyparts as the winner. Go here to enter the naming contest. And good luck!
Oh, and Thomas Keller's personal favorite candy bar? Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
