Receiving his B.A. from the UC, Berkeley in 1981 and his J.D. from the UC Hastings in 1985, Jeff Adachi once acted as the president of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and the San Francisco Japanese American Citizen's League, as well as serving as a board member of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the San Francisco Bar Association. He also wrote, produced, and directed The Slanted Screen, a documentary film about stereotypes of Asian males in American cinema. And now, a little more about Adachi...

I'm Jeff Adachi and I'm running for Mayor of San Francisco, the BEST city in the US.

3. Hometown
Born and raised in Sacramento with my brother Stan by our parents Gladys and Sam.

4. How many years in SF or Bay Area
I've called the Bay area home for 35 wonderful years.

5. Favorite SF neighborhood
Every neighborhood in San Francisco is unique and vibrant, I enjoy each, equally, for different reasons.

6. Berkeley or Oakland
As an Alum from UC Berkeley, all I can say is Go Bears!

7. Neighborhood you call home
I live with my wife, Muki and daughter, Lauren in beautiful West Portal.

8. How much do you pay in rent/mortgage
You'd have to ask Muki, she's the boss at home.

9. What was your first job
Gas pump attendant.

10. Best sandwich
Vietnamese sandwiches from Saigon Sandwich.

11. Great Quake or Loma Prieta
Both horrific, but I was alive during Loma Prieta.

12. Favorite MUNI line
There are so many great MUNI lines, but the one I take the most often is the M lIne.

13. Favorite politician of past or present (you can only pick one)
Abraham Lincoln, for his courage, insight, solidarity and honesty.

14. Best TV show of past or present (you can only pick one)
Star Trek, original Series. I'm a Shatner kinda guy.

15. Favorite bridge
That's easy, The Golden Gate.

16. Best restaurant
San Francisco is one of the food destination cities in the world. I enjoy eating at a variety of our different restaurants, but most recently I like Mission Chinese.

17. SF would be soooo much better if only ___________
SF would be soooo much better with an improved education system, more jobs for it's residents and better essential services. Good thing I have a plan.

18. SF has the greatest ________
SF has the greatest people. We are diverse, unique and talented. I look forward to representing all our residents equally.
