A young girl and her father were caught in the crossfire of a Bayview shootout yesterday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. as they walked home along Third Street near Palou Ave. Police believe at least two suspects opened fire on each when the little girl was hit in the left knee and fell to the ground. Officers in the area called paramedics and the girl was rushed to S.F. General with non-life threatening injuries. She was in stable condition as of yesterday evening.

In their search for the girl's shooter, SFPD is currently reviewing footage from a nearby store. They also ask that anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident call the Bayview Investigation Team at (415) 671-2363. Or drop an anonymous tip line to (415) 575-4444 or via text at TIP411.
