A note threatening to blow up an Alaskan Airlines plane heading from Seattle to the Bay Area was removed form the tarmac at Oakland this morning. Passengers were checked and re-screened, and no explosives were found. (Whew.)
Associated Press reports: "Oakland International Airport spokeswoman Joanne Holloway says someone gave a handwritten note about a bomb aboard Alaska Airlines Flight 342 to a representative at nearby San Francisco International Airport. Officials there contacted authorities."
The Alameda County Sheriff's office is working with the FBI to find out more.
No flights have been delayed or canceled at Oakland International Airport.
