Newborn Giraffe Meets Brandon Belt [Video]

Today in adorable things and baseball: rookie giraffe Brandon Belt, of the Vallejo Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, made friends with his namesake - Brandon Belt, rookie infielder for the San Francisco Giants. The quadruped Belt was born on August 27th to parents Makali and Nyumekye. Belt and Belt made time for a little bonding during Thursday's rest day for the Giants. The one Belt that is capable of spoken language told the Examiner, “This morning has been one of the best mornings of my life. To have a newborn giraffe named after me, let alone me standing side-by-side him, it’s amazing." Indeed it is, Brandon. Video below:
