SFist Drinks: Street Food Punch

Tomorrow marks the third annual San Francisco Street Food Festival, and now that we've already told you what to eat when you get there, allow us to suggest what to drink.

The team from Rye on the Road will be mixing up the cocktail selections this year, which will include a refreshing Paloma (a Mexican classic: tequila, lime, grapefruit soda, salt); the Lawrenceburg Swizzle (Wild Turkey 81 Bourbon, lemon, mint, maple syrup, Creole bitters over crushed ice); or this signature punch created especially for the event. All these boozy treats will run you 8 bucks, and the festival gates open at 11 a.m.

Street Food Punch

2 oz Flor de Cana 7 year rum
.5 oz spiced ginger syrup*
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1.5 ounces prosecco

Served up or in a punch cup.

*This is just an infused simple syrup that is really quick to make and great to have on hand for making cocktails. See a recipe here.
