Bourbon & Branch Speakeasy Empire Expands with Edition, Coming to Market Street

The folks at Future Bars Inc. - the very same gentlemen responsible for Rickhouse, Bourbon & Branch and most recently Mr. Lew's Win-Win Bar and Grand Sazerac Emporium - are eyeballing another boozy subterranean hideout where they can pour their Prohibition-inspired cocktails. As GrubStreet reports today, the undergound space below the T-Mobile Store at Market and 3rd (and right around the corner from Future Bars-owned high-end liquor store Cask) will become Edition sometime next year.

The space was once home to The Manhattan Lounge, which sadly disappeared some 10 years ago and thus never got the opportunity to amass any hilarious Yelp reviews. Edition, on the other hand, looks to be at least a year away thanks to a backup of liquor licenses at the ABC. So if you're thirsty for a cucumber gimlet or a tobacco-bitters manhattan poured by someone in suspenders sometime before "late 2012", you might try any one of Future Bars' other fine establishments.
