A cyclist was killed injured this morning after colliding with a truck at the intersection of Fremont and Mission. The incident happened a little after 8 a.m. SF Appeal reports: "Paramedics were performing CPR on the unconscious victim, the tipster reported. According to SFPD spokesperson Albie Esparza, the bicyclist was eventually pronounced dead."

The driver of the truck remained at the scene. KTVU is currently reporting that the cyclist was a woman.

This incident comes on the heels of a cyclist almost killing a 60-year-old pedestrian at Mission and Embarcadero on July 15.

Update: SFPD have issued a correction. Esparza just released a correction to media, saying, "The victim's status is currently life threatening at the hospital. Earlier we reported the victim was deceased. Our apologies for the misinformation. It is important that we correct the status."
