Over the weekend, mischievous disciples of George Romero used a Caltrans sign on Park Presidio Boulevard to issue an advisory to all the braindead drivers out there. Instead of an alert about the upcoming closure of Lincoln Boulevard, a sign telling drivers "ZOMBIES PLUNDER SF" had RichmondSF readers doing doubletakes. Clever work, sure, but it's not the first instance of modified highway signage announcing a similar message. It also appears to be unrelated to last Thursday's zombie incident in the Lower Haight, so there's no need to panic unless you really needed to use that tiny strip of Lincoln Boulevard this week.
