San Francisco Police Department is offering $25,000 in information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the brutal stabbing death of Philip DiMartino. On August 2, 2010 36-year-old DiMartino's body was found inside his Casto apartment at 138 Hermann Street not far from the Market Street Safeway. He has been stabbed to death and was found by a neighbor a few days later after he failed to show up to work the following Monday.

Almost one year has passed without any leads into the investigation.

According to SPFD: "The investigation into DiMartino's homicide has revealed that he was most likely killed on the evening of Friday, July 30. Investigators have reason to believe that the suspect may be a Hispanic male and that the suspect may have cut himself, most likely on the hand, during the assault."

DiMartino, a senior marketing manager at real estate firm Archstone, frequented bars in the area.
