STORYTELLING: Local luminary Beth Lisick hosts the sequel to March’s "sleeper indie hit" Brushes With Fame at the Roxie in the manner of a classic summer blockbuster: "louder, bigger and brasher, with commemorative fast food tie-ins (fingers crossed!)." Guests will describe their brushes with fame "as extras, actors and gawkers, complete with incriminating clips and quips." (7:30 p.m., The Roxie, 3117 16th Street)

MUSIC: Head over to the Hemlock's modest stage for a sonic joyride with local noise rock/experimental pop bands Religious Girls, Zorch, and Primary Colors. (9 p.m., Hemlock Tavern, 1131 Polk Street)
