Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom was out at Rochambeau Playground in the Richmond District this afternoon to accept a $250,000 donation to the San Francisco Rec & Parks Department from the Coca-Cola Corporation. According to our friends at RichmondSF, the soda company's generous (but somewhat incongruous) donation will be going towards a new trail in Golden Gate Park and sporting equipment for various Rec & Park programs around the city. After a photo op with the comedically large check, the Lite Gov. hopped on a skateboard to wow the crowds with some sick flatland moves. [RichmondSF]
