Funeral services for Tony Valerio and Lt. Vincent Perez, the two San Francisco fire fighters who lost their lives after sustaining critical injuries during last Thursday's tragic Diamond Heights fire, have been scheduled for this Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Mary's Cathedral on Gough Street. A vigil for the the fallen SFFD men will also be held at St. Mary's at 7 p.m. Thursday evening, reports Bay City News.

Valerio, 53, was a firefighter-paramedic who gave 27 total years of service to the City, 14 of those with the fire department. Perez, 48, spent his last 21 years as a San Francisco firefighter after years of service with the U.S. Marine Corps and Alameda County sheriff's department. A third, female firefighter also suffered burns and smoke inhalation while battling the blaze, but was released from the hospital on Thursday.

To support the Valeria and Perez families, the firefighters union has established trust accounts with SFFD Credit Union and the department asks that condolences be sent to Fire Station 26, 80 Digby St., San Francisco, 94131.
