Darren Criss, noted crooner and graduate of San Francisco's elite St. Ignatius High School, will be in the city on Saturday. The dreamy, raven-haired actor will perform a few choice ditties at the Marines Memorial Theatre for charity. As many of you know, Criss plays Blaine Anderson, Kurt's boyfriend on Glee, whose character recently admitted to receiving a horrific bashing after asking a fellow gay classmate to the prom.
Speaking of having the crap kicked out of you, the Yale Glee Club (not related to attacked Yale group, The Baker's Dozen) will also perform with Criss. Proceeds benefit New Conservatory Theatre Center's Youth Aware Program and, appropriately enough, No Bully.
Sure, tickets are a bit pricey -- between $125-$250 -- but you'll be supporting a worthwhile cause while cheering on a local boy who made good. Show starts at 8 p.m. at the Marines Memorial Theater, 609 Sutter.
