The Mid-Market gourmet tubesteak purveyors at Show Dogs are hosting the first of their bi-monthly Rescue Dog Days for charity tonight. During the convenient and happy hours of 6 and 8 p.m, a $20 donation at the door will get you all the veggie dogs, homemade sausages, 49'er corn dogs and assorted side items you can stuff into your face. Plus local beer on tap and "biodynamic red and white wine" (whatever that is) to keep you from choking. To justify the gluttony, proceeds from tonight's happy hour go to the SF Food Bank.

We also ought to mention the owners have been a little conflicted about their 6th and Market location, but $20 for two hours of unlimited corn dogs and beer is the best mid-Market revitalization plan we've heard yet. [Facebook event]
