Vandalism/Golden Gate Park: Vandals struck in Golden Gate Park again, this time near Dough Boy Meadow where "three redwood, one dogwood, one magnolia and one red plum" saplings were lopped off at their trunks. Bank Robbery/Financial District: A suspect walked in to a bank on the 200 block of Bush Street yesterday and indicated to the teller that he had a gun in his pocket. Although no weapon was seen, the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber took off on foot. No arrests have been made and police have yet to release the suspect's description. Car Chase/Peninsula: A 15-year-old suspect in a peninsula home burglary led authorities on a police chase through San Mateo County on Tuesday. The suspect and two accomplices appeared to be purposely swerving to hit pedestrians while hitting speeds of 90 mph along Middlefield Road. After police backed off on their chase, the stolen 1996 Honda Accord was found abandoned in Menlo Park. Authorities arrested one suspect nearby, but the other two are still at large.
