Boehner Will Defend DOMA by Letting the Courts Decide Constitutionality

Just two weeks after Obama's Department of Justice declared the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional, the House Speaker with the snickering last name announced he's calling a meeting of the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (which we'll call BLAG just for fun) to decide how to address the law in court. The group has the power to direct the House General Consul to take action and by law it consists of the top three majority party leaders, plus the top two minority leaders.

So even though Nancy Pelosi will get a vote on the matter, she and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer will be outnumbered and it's very likely that the final say on whether DOMA is allowable under the constitution will go to the courts. In other news, "Keep Your Boehner Out of My Uterus" - a single serving tumblr dedicated to mocking the congressman's decision to block federal funding for Planned Parenthood, is a thing that exists.
