Please, please, please join us at The Lookout on Tuesday, February 15, for a fundraiser to benefit the displaced residents of the Castro arson fires. As many of you know, four fires in the Castro sent waves of paranoia throughout the community. One fire in particular, at 16th and Market Streets, displaced 17 people. In an effort to help these now homeless residents, writer and SFGate personality Beth Spotswood and local politico Kate Ryken have planned a most delightful fund raising party in the heart of the Castro.
In addition to a night of liveliness, drink specials, and mingling, there will be a (brief!) raffle featuring goodies from Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern, Marlowe (a personal favorite of your SFist editor), Beach Blanket Babylon, Home Restaurant, Sunday's A Drag at Harry Denton's, Chow, Cafe Flore (where the sea breezes and white russians are always flowing!), and much more.
Please RVSP this very second. Thanks.
Also, for what it's worth, your SFist editor will be there, too, co-hosting the evening with a myriad of local personalities. Please stop by to say hi and, if the mood should strike, throw a well-earned drink in our face.
