In the second most important San Francisco/television news story today, former MSNBC personality Keith Olbermann announced that "he will host a new nightly hour-long primetime news and commentary show on Current TV, the low-rated network co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore." Olbermann will, most certainly, boost the profile of the rarely-watched San Francisco-based network. (For those of you who don't watch, which is many of you, Current TV is a decent watch. Highly recommend.)

In October, the lefty talking head was more or less booted from Countdown with Keith Olbermann for making campaign contributions to Democratic candidates -- Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords, and Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway.

Oh, and today's most important SF news story mired in the medium of television? Last night's exceptional episode of Bad Girls Club saw the ladies take an overnight trip to North Beach and, most shockingly, The Good Hotel on Seventh and Mission. Oxygen couldn't spring for a suite at the W? Bizarre.
