55-year-old Spider Dan who scaled the Millenium Tower on Labor Day last year to combat, "a national lack of preparedness to fight skyscraper fires" of last year won't be doing any jail time according to the Chronicle/InsideBayArea. After appearing before a jury last month, Daniel Goodwin - also a cancer survivor - was found guilty of being a public nuisance and resisting arrest, but he'll get off with 100 hours of community service, two years probation, a $260 fine and an undetermined amount of restitution to the SFFD and SFPD.

So maybe they can use that restitution to prepare themselves for future skyscraper fires.
