As first reported by community activist Michael Petrelis and SF Appeal, the Lyon-Martin Health Clinic is set to close this week due to crushing debt. Just before the clinic confirmed its closure, they announced a fundraiser this Sunday, January 30 at the El Rio (3158 Mission), where it will try to raise a some of the $250,000 it needs to stay open.
Billed as "Hotties 4 Homo Health Care," the evening will include performances by Kentucky Fried Woman, Brock Cocker, Drew Montana and Jake Danger. DJ Booty Klap, Ships in the Night. DJs HLAWS & Jxn James from Transfat will be providing exceptional dance music. What's more, there will be raffle prizes, including hundreds of dollars worth of amazing items and certificates from Good Vibrations, Vixen Creations, CrashPadSeries.com, HeavenlySpire.com, and Kink.com.
Suggested donations run from $5-20 sliding scale.
