Further Confusion, billed at the world's largest anthropomorphic (or "furry") convention, is currently spreading lint and color audacity in San Jose now through the 17th. Guests of honor include Blotch and Paul Kidd.
A joyous form of arrested development, furries are sci-fi fans who enjoy dressing up as plush animals -- and, if Google images is to be believed, enjoying having loads of intercourse while in costume.
The action is going down (perhaps literally!) at the San Jose Fairmont, which gets overrun with cartoon characters and sports mascots this time of year. An insider described it to SFist thusly, "It's like if the prison show Oz was on Cartoon Network." Sweet Jesus.
If you happen to be in the area, please stop what you're doing this very second to take pictures. Lots of pictures. Many, many pictures.
