The Examiner reports that there was an apparent skateboard bashing that happened last month, which the victim died from a few days later. The attack occurred early Christmas morning at 12:45 a.m. at Haight and Masonic Avenue, in which Dustin Tolboe, 28, allegedly bashed Donald Tanksley, 60, on the head with a skateboard, causing a severe skull-fracture.
Tolboe was arrested the day of the attack and initially charged with assault likely to produce great bodily injury and battery. The San Francisco Medical Examiner classified the death as a homicide last week, and the case is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
The crime puts the homicide toll for 2010 at 50.
