The nude body of a woman was found Friday near the entrance to a bike trail on Skyline Boulevard in the Oakland Hills. The woman appeared to have died several hours before, and her body had been dumped there. The body showed minor abrasions, but the cause of death remains unclear pending an autopsy — the results of which may be revealed today. The victim was a woman in her 40s.

This is the second female homicide victim to be found in a week near an East Bay park, with the first having been identified as Jasmine Jordan of Fresno, age 21, who often visited Oakland. Her body was found Tuesday on the rocks near a jetty in the Martin Luther King Regional Shoreline Park. The cause of death was multiple stab wounds.

Authorities are investigating any connections between the murders, however they cautions there may be none, given the different causes of death. Anyone with information about either case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572, and a $10,000 reward is already being offered in the Jordan case.
