The quiet enclave of Foster City is shocked to find that some ne'er-do-wells are going around stealing packages from doorsteps. Foster City police have identified one possible suspect in at least two cases of alleged theft of holiday gifts, which were left by UPS or FedEx outside homes.

Police Captain John Froomin warns the 29,000 residents of Foster City to be vigilant, and to have neighbors sign for packages if necessary, lest their Christmases be ruined.

Meanwhile, down in rain-soaked Long Beach, three teenagers were caught burglarizing a home and walking out with wrapped presents, among other things. Lord have mercy.
