WikiLeaks has unveiled what may be one of the most controversial and U.S.-damaging documents to date: a secret diplomatic cable listing locations abroad that the U.S. considers vital to its national security. An MP in Britain called the document "a gift to any terrorist [group] trying to work out what are the ways in which it can damage the United States." CNN and others are not republishing the list, but note that it contains spots like the Panama Canal, and a critical telecommunications hub whose destruction could greatly impact global communications.
Meanwhile, WikiLeaks servers in Sweden were hit a major denial of service attack today (coincidence?), and the U.S. is said to be doing a major shuffling of diplomats worldwide, saying that many were not safe staying in their current positions due to the leaked cables.
