Cody Ross' Autographed Balls; Juan Uribe Sides With The Enemy

Some sweet and sour Giants news this morning. First, the good: SF Giants star Cody Ross will appear at Cost Plus World Market (2552 Taylor) -- a specialty store featuring "an ever-changing selection of home décor, furniture, and gourmet food and wine" in the much-maligned Fisherman's Wharf district -- on Wednesday from 12 - 2 p.m. Autographed baseballs will be available to the first 300 people who bring a minimum of five non-perishable food donations for the a local San Francisco food bank. A worthy thing to do, really. However, Ross will not be able to sign any personal items or baseballs, and individual photos with Cody will not be allowed. Alas.

Now for the bad news: Juan Uribe reached deal with... the LA Dodgers yesterday. Yep. You read right. Uribe will head south next season to aid for the enemy. According to The Chronicle, the Giants "weren't willing to match the Dodgers' offer, a reported $21 million over three years, a contract that's pending Uribe's physical."

We speak for all of San Francisco when we say, ouch.
