The seasonal Ice Rink at the Embarcadero Center opens (re-opens?) today and while it lacks any celebrity endorsement or even the promise of Brian Boitano's cheese cart parking nearby, there will be "Aloha Fridays" sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines so you can hula while you sashay around the ice.
Regular tickets are 9 bucks during the week ($5.50 for the seniors and the kids) with a $0.50 premium on weekend skating, but this Friday is "Giants Friday" which means anyone in Giants gear gets to skate for free. Just think of how wonderful you'll look out there in the not-at-all Ed Hardy-ish official World Series Champions Tee. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on schoolnights and until 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday. [Appeal/BCN]
