Reports from KTVU outside the courtroom in Los Angeles are saying that Johannes Mehserle will receive the minimum sentence of 2 years jail time. Mehserle will receive credit for the time he has already served awaiting trial (292 days).
Judge Perry was quoted saying: "I understand my decision will not be received well by many people, but remember I did my best."
