This morning at around 3:30 a.m., the S.F. Giants' bus arrived at AT&T Park with a slew of World Series champs spilling onto King Street eager to greet fans. Hundreds of Giants sect members waiting behind barricades "exploded into cheers when Giants managing partner Bill Neukom carried the trophy off the team bus."
Live at the scene, KTVU captured some choice highlights, including:
Cody Ross promptly got off the bus and headed to the barricades to high-five fans
Manager Bruce Bochy, exhausted and elated, beamed: “It’s unbelievable... This is something you dream about. We are living a dream The last couple days we have been running on adrenaline. To win this thing and come back and have these fans still here at this time in the morning - you see how excited the players are This is a feeling you can’t describe. We’re living a dream.”
Pablo Sandoval, AKA "Panda," saying: “The fans have given their support to us every game... I still can’t believe we made it. The second month of the season we were in fourth place in the division We have to enjoy this - keep celebrating. This is one of those moments that can’t happen in your life twice. If it does happen in your life twice, you are lucky.”
