The Giants won Game 4 of the Word Series in another shutout game. Madison Bumgarner -- described swimmingly by McCovey Chronicles as "a 21-year-old rookie made of one part grizzled veteran, one part emotionless sociopath, and five parts amazing" -- pitched an excellent game.

"He threw eight shutout innings, the first pitcher to do so in the Series since St. Louis' Chris Carpenter in Game 3 in 2006 against Detroit," reports The Chronicle. "Aubrey Huff and Buster Posey each hit his first postseason homer, Huff with one aboard. In between, Andres Torres doubled home Edgar Renteria in the seventh, when each had his third hit of the game."

Tim Lincecum takes the mound for Game 5 at 4:30 on Monday. Brace. No, seriously. This could be it.
