The Giants are heading to Texas this morning with a 2-0 lead in the World Series after pummeling the Rangers in Game 2, 9-0. The Chronicle's Gwen Knapp sums up last night's carnage: "The excruciating tension of a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning. Masterful pitching from their starter, the imperturbable Cain. Another hearty helping of Juan Uribe. And, finally, an explosive finish from the team that turned scalding in September, for a 9-0 win over the Rangers."

It was glorious. Not to mention brutal.
