Sigh.
In a painful-to-watch game filled with errors and crap-laced luck, the Giants lost last night, 4-2. San Francisco needed just one game -- one game -- to wrap up the National League Championship Series. That, sadly, didn't happened on S.F. soil.
Phillies' star Roy Halladay, it seems, pitched most of the game in pain. "We knew he was a horse when we got him. We knew he was a gamer," fellow Phillies cretin Shane Victorino explained to The Chronicle. "But tonight we found out what kind of guy he really is. It shows what you're all about when you pitch on one leg."
One one leg? Come now. We know Kerri Strug. And you, Mr. Halladay, are no Kerri Strug.
Anyway, this being the Giants, clinching the pennant won't come easy. As McCovey Chronicles asked, "You held out hope that the Giants were going to win that game, didn’t you, you silly little thing?"
The Giants now head to Philadelphia where they will meet with the Phillies again on Saturday.
